By far the heaviest mold I've made so far with over 2 lbs of silicone. I took my time and did lots of testing to achieve the casting shown here. The LARGE casting size is approximately 4" x 4" x 4".
The MEDIUM size is approximately 2-3/8" sq. on the base and the height is approximately 2-9/16". The clear pyramid with the gold Myan temple.
The SMALL size is approximately 1-3/4" x 1-3/4" x 1-3/4". Only made a fast curing white pyramid for the small sample. I will upload a clear pyramid as soon as I get a chance to make one.
Note: The medium and small pyramid molds are the same price but the small pyramid mold will make two pyramids at one time.
Someone came to me and asked where they could get a pyramid mold that makes good quality pyramids. I said they're available on Amazon. But this person already had one from there and the thin silicone mold (that sits in a plastic box during the curing stage) didn't produce good results. So that's why I did this mold. It's made of SOLID good quality silicone and the walls won't distort during the curing stages.
Being such large casting, I bought Deep Pour epoxy resin to make this pyramid which can do castings 2 to 4 inches thick. It could be poured using thinner layers (which I've never done) but there is a chance that the layers will be visible.
The sample casting - It is a clear epoxy resin pyramid with a lock of my granddaughter's hair suspended in it. The final pour of purple epoxy resin that makes bottom finished it off. The casting shown here hasn't had anything done to it, it is exactly the way it came out of the mold. The inside of the mold has a glossy finish but any residual marks like finger prints, smudges, etc. will be in the final casting. Because of that I recommend that the pyramid be casting be finish sanded with wet/dry sandpaper as high a grit as you can then polished. I bought wet/dry sandpaper on Amazon that goes from 1000 grit up to 7000 grit in case it was needed. I'll be sanding and polishing this pyramid and will post a photo as soon as it's done.
Note: Know your resin! I used a pressure pot (55 PSI) to crush any existing bubbles and any that would form from the curing process. Some resins don't require the use of a pressure pot but if you're going to suspend hair in it as I did then I highly recommend using one. This casting took over 300 grams of epoxy resin and if it ends up with bubbles it could be huge loss if they form.
I love the quality of these molds!
I own several of these molds by Armand, and they are absolutely the best silicone molds on the market.

Silicone Mold Designer/Maker
Hello, I'm just an elderly gentleman that used to make wood pens and sold them on the crook site known as E t s y! This website is my breakaway from them. Anyway, as I said I used to make wood pens but the pen making competition out there is just too great for this old guy. When COVID broke out my son and I started making mask prototypes from heat resistant skin safe resin. That required the use of custom silicone molds. Well we finally got a mask that was approved by the hospital for use but it had to be patent pending before they would buy them. So with no money left to pursue it any further it was dropped. I had all this silicone left so I decided to design and make a new universal tube-in mold that would work for most any pen type. One thing lead to another and here I am now with a full product line of two-step silicone molds for pen makers and have new patterns coming out all the time. This new product line is a low profit but satisfying one that I enjoy doing. They have been sold to customers in over seven countries.
Please Note: If Armand's Write Stuff (AWS) spends time designing and making a new product - even if it was by request - the product design remains the property of AWS and will be sold as seen fit by AWS.
